Know about this home Wireless pay-as-you-go service that does not include a contract, credit check, and deposit. If you're looking for an easy, no-hassle route to get your home Internet service, the answer could be Xfinity Prepaid Internet.

The plan makes Xfinity Internet available to anybody living in an Xfinity service area without a credit check, no deposits, and no contracts. However, as speeds are slower, it is not absolutely free of catches, and the value is lower than you can get with the normal Xfinity home internet.

How does Internet Prepaid Xfinity operate?

Xfinity Prepaid Internet uses the same cable network and a refurbished Xfinity gateway router as their regular service.

To get going, existing clients pay upfront for the Xfinity Prepaid Starter Kit, and after the first 30 days of service, they can "recharge" their service in intervals of seven or 30 days afterward. People can purchase online and receive their Starter Kit in the mailbox, or sign up and pick up the router at a participating Boost Mobile site.

A refurbished router and all the cables required for fast and easy Xfinity self-installation are included with the Starter Kit.

Requirements for Xfinity Prepaid internet eligibility

You must be 18 years of age and have an address serviceable to Xfinity but not an active Xfinity reach to be eligible for Xfinity Prepaid Internet.

It is plausible to conclude that the service is open to former Xfinity customers who have an outstanding balance on their account, seeing as those are the only requirements. However, Xfinity does not specifically state whether former customers are eligible for prepaid service or not.

The prepaid service can also be beneficial to those with a limited or bad credit history, along with previous clients who have unpaid Xfinity balances, as no credit checks or deposits are needed. Temporary residents will also want to consider Xfinity Prepaid Internet, such as students or those renting month-to-month, because it comes with no contracts needed.

How much is the Internet with Xfinity Prepaid?

$80 plus taxes and fees are the initial cost. This involves the first 30 days of operation ($45) and a refurbished Xfinity gateway router ($35).

Customers can add or "refill" days in seven- or 30-day intervals to continue service. Refills for seven days are $15, and refills for 30 days are $45. Because it comes with nine bonus days compared to if you spent the same amount on three seven-day refills, the 30-day refill is definitely the better deal.

There are no recurring equipment fees because customers buy their equipment upfront. Taxes and government fees can also apply, but depending on which refill you want, you may expect to pay about $15 or $45 to continue your service, for the most part.

How fast is the Internet with Xfinity Prepaid?

Here's where the Internet Prepaid Xfinity drops a little of its charm. Download speeds up is only 20 Mbps and uploads speed up to 1 Mbps are supported by the provider. These speeds are lower than any normal Xfinity plan and are not sufficiently fast to be known as broadband.
